● Provided free legal aid and assistance in cases related to the Foreigner Act, preventive laws, Civil, tenancy and family matters

Program Officer-RESEARCH AND LITIGATION SUPERVISOR

● Arranging and Coordination of the MSCC (Multi Area of Expertiseial Coordination Committee) and Technical Working Groups with the Government of Sindh under the Chairmanship of the Chief Secretary of Sindh for the implementation of the Anti-Rape Investigation and Trial Act 2021, Criminal Law Amendment Act 2021 and the SVRF. Writing letters to the Health Department, IGP of Sindh Police, Home Department, etc.
● – Writing and drafting of legal and evidence based Research Reports, Donor Reports, Concept Notes, Literature Reviews, and Manuals for training of CJS actors, etc.
● – Delivering Capacity Building Trainings to Prosecutors, Paralegals, Juveniles, Women, etc.
● – Notification and Launch of OSPC (One-Stop Protection Centre): the notification of Sindh’s first OSPC Pilot Project established at the Women and Children Police Station in Karachi, Supervision of the OSPC. This required extensive advocacy with the Sindh Police, particularly with the DIG South and the IG of Sindh Police. I was able to advocate for the designation and appointment of a High Court enrolled Advocate and Psychologist (who directly report to me) and provide pro-bono services,Currently supervising the User Feedback Survey in order to gauge the effectiveness and results of the OSPC to report to the donors.
● – Creation of a Performance Management Framework of the SGBV Specialised Prosecutors and Investigating Officers.
● – Drafting Domestic Violence, Khula, Maintenance, Habeas corpus and Special Protection Mechanism Applications and Petitions, such a video-link evidence, in-camera trial, etc.
● – Incorporation of a survivor-centric approach with protection mechanisms in the SGBV cases.
● – – Arranged and provided training in Prosecutors Coordination Meetings.
● Engaged in Advocacy with the Prosecutor General.
● Conducted Pre and Post Survey Evaluation of the meetings in order to gauge the effectiveness of the meetings.
● – Knowledge Assessment of Women and Children Protection Cells (WCPCs) in Karachi and Hyderabad on SGBV laws and policies, etc.
